Sega is continuing to provide new information and assets about its upcoming online RPG Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
A few new screenshots were provided by the official community Twitter account Rappy.Commu (sources: 1, 2, 3, 4).
We get to take a look at the smallest of the enemy dolls, named Fuwan. The name seems to be deriving from the fact that they can float, and they are proficient at ranged attacks.
We also see the outer wall that defends Central City from enemy attacks. Apparently climbing on it lets you see far in the distance and take great screenshots.
Another image showcases the stamp system that can be used to communicate in the game, while the last provides a look at a beautiful sunrise enabled by the game’s day & night cycle.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will come for the same platforms as Phantasy Star Online 2 which in the west is (for now) Xbox and PC, while in Japan it will release for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
If you want to see more, you can check out the latest gameplay from just before Christmas, and the previously-released footage and see how much the game has improved since then.
Incidentally, the latest gameplay showcases an in-depth view at the Central City hub mentioned above, on top of pretty much every known aspect of the game, including the extremely deep character creation.
We also get to see a glimpse at the new engine that will provide a fresh coat of paint for the original Phantasy Star Online 2, bringing it almost up to par with New Genesis.
