Hood: Outlaws and Legends received a release date today during The Game Awards main show. The medieval combat, stealth, action, PvP, co-op, heist game (I think I got it all), will be out on May 10, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC. Players that pre-order can get access to an early play period which will start on May 7.
Alongside the announcement, developers Sumo Digital released a new trailer of some Hood gameplay. Check it out below.
There aren’t a lot of great medieval combat games, much less ones that are cooperative, stealth, action, PvPvE all rolled into one. So if nothing else Hood: Outlaws and Legends gets some points for creativity.
The gameplay trailer shows off a group of players breaking into some kind of fort or castle, and sneaking their way around to find a treasure hidden away inside. Eventually they also erupt into some close quarters combat as well, showing off a mix of weaponry include both close-range and long-range attacks.
If you want more of a feel for it, Sumo Digital released character trailers not too long ago.
It’s going to be a while still before we’ll all be able to see for ourselves how it plays, but so far Hood: Outlaws and Legends looks intriguing. I’m curious to see what others think of this trailer. Let me know in the comments below.
