Although the game has long been playable on the platform, it was only available via The Epic Game Store, Microsoft Store, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in addition to console releases.
The Outer Worlds is a first-person RPG heavily inspired by Fallout both in regards to its aesthetic and overall design, which isn’t surprising given Obsidian is the developer behind the acclaimed spin-off Fallout: New Vegas.
Twinfinite reviewed The Outer Worlds last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, scoring the game 4/5 and concluding our review in the hope of seeing more content from the IP moving forward.
That wish has since been granted with the launch of new story DLC Peril on Gorgon, which blasted off last month and took players on another whimsical space opera adventure — this time, to a mysterious asteroid.
