Dead by Daylight Now Features Full Cross-Play & Shared Friends Lists

Behavior Interactive has today announced that its popular multiplayer survival horror game Dead by Daylight now supports full cross-play between PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Further, new cross-friends functionality allows players to spot their buddies playing on different platforms and join their gaming sessions.

A press release sent to Twinfinite today explains the initiative is the result of “a year of research, interviews, data analysis and the successful implementation of Cross-Play on Steam and Windows Store.”

Dead by Daylight boasts more than 25 million players across the globe and across all platforms. Today’s cross-play announcement doesn’t include the popular mobile version, which was launched earlier this year and accounts for a fairly substantial portion of the player base having hit 3 million downloads at last count.

Today’s announcement is just the latest support in a steady string of updates that have brought new content, features, and crossover events to Dead by Daylight. Earlier this year, for example, Behaviour Interactive teamed up with Konami to bring Silent Hill to the game.

Earlier this summer, Behaviour Interactive revealed that a Google Stadia version of the game is inbound sometime in September 2020. Presumably, it will offer similar cross-play functionality.
