Obsidian Entertainment released a brand new video about its upcoming survival game Grounded.

The video is narrated by social media manager Shyla Schofield as she walks us through the basic gameplay features and mechanics of Grounded.

On top of that, we take a look at Arachnophobia mode, which will change the look and feel of spiders for those who would be disturbed by them.

Since it’s client-side, you can activate it, but everyone else playing with you who has it deactivated, will still see them in their original eight-legged appearance.

This is quite useful because tomorrow Grounded is getting a demo on Steam and via the Xbox Insiders app, so you’ll be able to try the game out on your own screen.

You can check the video out below and see what you can expect to find in the backyard when the demo launches

Grounded will release in preview/early access on July 28, and it’s coming for Xbox One and PC including Game Pass on both platforms.

If you want to see more, you can check out the latest story trailer, plenty of gameplay, the first trailer showing this small world in action, a gallery of screenshots, and the first gameplay.

Proud weeb hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long-standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality), MMORPGs, and visual novels are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans on Earth of the flight simulator genre.
