While most clothes in Animal Crossing New Horizons can be purchased at the Able Sisters shop, there are a few items that are obtained in different ways. One of these items is the fancy Gold Armor. Here’s how to get the Gold Armor in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
How to Get Gold Armor in Animal Crossing New Horizons
If you want to look like a chivalrous knight in New Horizons, you’ll want the Gold Armor. Since this item is never sold in the Able Sisters shop, you’ll have to craft it instead.
You won’t be able to craft it until you’ve found and learned the DIY recipe for it, though. Luckily, the recipe can be found in a number of ways.
The most common way to find the DIY recipe for this armor is to receive it from one of your villagers. They may give you a recipe randomly while they are walking around your island, but there’s actually another way to receive a recipe from them.
If you go inside a villager’s house while they are home, there’s a chance you could find them hard at work building something at their crafting table. Usually, there is one villager crafting something each day. If you talk to that villager, they will share a crafting recipe with you.
It’s totally random what recipe you get, but there is a chance you can receive the Gold Armor DIY recipe through this method. Any villager can give it to you, but there seems to be a higher chance for Snooty-personality villagers to give this recipe.
The Gold Armor DIY recipe can also be found in floating balloons and messages in bottles. If you’re on the hunt for this recipe, make sure you use your slingshot to pop every balloon you see and search your beaches for bottles every day.
Once you found and learned the DIY recipe for the Gold Armor, you still have to craft it. You’ll need eight Gold Nuggets to make the armor. If you need help finding Gold Nuggets, we’ve got you covered with a guide on how to obtain them quickly.
After you’ve collected eight Gold Nuggets, you can head to your crafting table to make your very own Gold Armor.
