If Dragon Ball games have ever taught us anything, it’s that the power of nostalgia should never be taken lightly. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot launched back on Jan 16, and Bandai Namco just took to Twitter to announce that staggering sales milestone.

The game has been rapidly rising in sales since it was released, and it finally managed to top NDP sales charts in mid February by dethroning Call of Duty. That’s certainly no easy task for most games.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot even had the third-best launch month of any Dragon Ball game since Dragon Ball FighterZ in 2018 and the original Budokai in 2002.

Kakarot may be the millionth retelling of the Z Sagas in video game form, but in its defense, it’s a single player RPG. The series lends itself extremely well to the fighting game genre, which is why seeing a Dragon Ball RPG feels pretty rare.

If that RPG talk has you interested in picking it up, but you still want to know more about it, check out our review of the game before making your decision.
