Temtem: How to Beat Sophia

Developed by CremaGames and published by Humble Bundle, Temtem is a brand new Pokemon-inspired MMORPG that’s just been released on Discord and Steam Early Access. The game isn’t complete just yet, but there are already a handful of dojo leaders you can beat across the few islands you visit. Here’s how to beat Sophia in Temtem.

How to Beat Sophia in Temtem

Sophia is the first dojo leader you’ll face in Temtem, and she can be found in Arissola. She’s primarily a Water-type Tamer, which means that Nature-type creatures will do well against her.

However, Sophia also has a few other types in her arsenal, which means that you can’t just rely on the same strategy to wipe out her team.

We’ve listed Sophia’s available Temtems down below:

  • Sparzy (level 15): weak against Earth and Crystal.
  • Kalabyss (level 17): weak against Wind, Nature, Electric, and Toxic.
  • Loali (level 17): weak against Electric, Fire, and Toxic.
  • Pigepic (level 18): weak against Electric.
  • Oceara (level 21): weak against Nature, Electric, and Toxic.
  • Tuwai (level 21): weak against Electric.

As you can see from her lineup, Sophia doesn’t just have Water-type creatures. In fact, most of her lineup will be vulnerable to Electric and Toxic-types, so it can be a good strategy to bring a Temtem with poison moves that can help to deal damage over time.

You’ll also want to bring an Electric-type creature to the fight. Ganki is a pretty good option, as it can be captured easily in the wild areas around Arissola. In fact, it wouldn’t hurt to bring two Gankis to the fight if you want to play it safe.

Upon defeating Sophia, you’ll be rewarded with the Surfboard key item, which allows you to travel to the next island and city, Turquesa.

That’s all you need to know about how to beat Sophia in Temtem. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game. We’ve also got guides on how to restore health, stamina, and catch creatures.
