The first way of getting food is to just find it littered throughout the world. Just keep an eye out for golden sparkles on the ground, or red sparkles in trees.
To actually pick them up, and all you have to do is run near to the sparkle and you’ll automatically get it, you don’t have to press a button or anything.
You’re also able to buy food form shops, such as the one in Lucca Village at the beginning of the game.
How to Make Meals
Making meals, which allows you to pick a certain piece of food that’ll provide the status affect you’re after, is a little tricker. The first thing you need to do is one of two things:
- Find a campfire
- Find a cooking character
Some characters, such as ChiChi, can cook for you, or you will be able to find chefs in areas like Lucca Village.
Talk to the character, select make a dish, and you’ll then see a huge list of options with the effects and duration of each one listed on the right.
If you have the ingredients, you can make the dish and it’ll be available to be consumed afterwards.
