The event began last week on Jan. 5 and ran into the early morning of Sunday, Jan. 13. The full week of speedrunning raised $3,134,033.56 by 54,165 donations according to the event’s tracker as of Sunday night.

Awesome Games Done Quick 2020 beat last year’s event which earned a little over $2.4 million and the organization’s other speedrunning event, Summer Games Done Quick, held last July which had initially broke the fundraising record at a little over $3 million.

The marathon held 141 runs of various games such as Untitled Goose Game, The Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Animorphs, several Sonic games, and all the main Fallout games.

The event even had a few musical performances including Faye Wong’s Eyes on Me from Final Fantasy VIII and Cynthia Harrell’s Snake Eater from Metal Gear Solid 3.

Replays of individual runs can be seen from the group’s official Twitch and YouTube pages, with some runs still be uploaded.

Next year’s event will take place on the week of Jan. 3-10, 2021 with no location announced yet, while Summer Games Done Quick 2020 will run June 21-28 in Bloomington, Minnesota.
