There are limited-time offers in the store, too, offering both premium and freebie packs. Players that log in between Dec. 19 – Jan. 9 will receive the Midwinter Wanderer and a special winter-themed game board for free. There are also a number of discounted premium bundles if you fancy treating yourself.

As for the new game mode, the Yule Challenge sees players take on Santa Crach in a duel: “Pick a side and prove your worth to earn Reward Points and unlock XP bonuses.”

Do remember that if you’re a console player then you won’t be able to take part in the event unless you transfer your account over to PC via GOG. That’s because CDPR announced recently that Gwent’s console support is being shut down.

Without dampening the holiday spirit too much, we’ll also signal boost once again that it has been confirmed Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales will definitely not be getting a sequel.
