Battlefield V Free Update Adds Iconic Wake Island Map Next Week; Trailer Highlights New Features

One of the Battlefield series’ most iconic and celebrated maps has been revamped and added to Battlefield V in a new update set to launch next week, Dec. 12. The sublime chaos of Wake Island first arrived back in 2002’s Battlefield 1942 and essentially lay the blueprint for the multiplayer dynamic that has since defined the entire Battlefield series.

EA Dice has today published a new trailer that provides an overview of the changes for Battlefield V, showcasing how its larger size and a greater variety of vehicles makes it the definitive version.

The launch of Wake Island is part of the continued live support for Battlefield V, which is currently in its fifth chapter. This latest Update 5.2 makes a substantial number of changes and additions to the game, including weapon rebalancing, new vehicles, and bug fixes.
