Along with new creatures to catch and Gym badges to collect, there are also a few puzzles to solve along the way. Here’s the solution to the Turffield standing stones puzzle in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
Pokemon Sword & Shield Turffield Treasure Standing Stones Puzzle Solution
When you arrive in Turffield and head up the hill, you’ll find a girl who lets you know that there’s a riddle to solve in town. She gives you the following clue:
“Seek yourself three standing stones, with Grass before the other ones. Use well that strength, and find then the strength of its strength in the end. Dally not, if you’ve a mind to find what time has left behind.”
You’ll need to interact with three standing stones in the right order: Grass, Water, Fire.
To start, head down to the Stadium and go to the left. Here, you’ll find the Grass standing stone, so just interact with it.
Next, from the little girl’s position, head down the path and take the west path to find the Water standing stone, where a suited man is standing.
Finally, head past the Poke Center and go east. Right before the bridge that leads you to Route 5, you’ll find the Fire standing stone. Interact with it to complete the puzzle.
Solving the Turffield standing stones puzzle will reward you with an Expert Belt, which is an item that slightly boosts the power of super effective moves.
If you mess up the solution, just head back to the little girl and talk to her again to reset the puzzle.
To recap, here’s the Turffield standing stones puzzle solution:
- Head towards the Stadium, then go left to interact with the Grass stone.
- From the little girl’s position, head down the path, then take the first path leading west to interact with the Water stone.
- Head past the Poke Center and go east. Right before the bridge that takes you to Route 5, interact with the Fire stone.
