During Take-Two’s financial conference call for investors and analysts, the company’s executives talked about The Outer Worlds and more.
Speaking of Obsidian Entertainment’s RPG, president Karl Slatoff mentioned that the game is “a critical and commercial success” that is exceeding the publisher’s expectations, earning outstanding reviews.
That being said, during the following Q&A session, chief executive officer Strauss Zelnick mentioned that the company can’t release specific numbers about The Outer Worlds as it’s “very, very early,” but it’s “outperforming expectations handily.”
He promised that as the company learns more about the game’s performance, they’ll disclose more.
Speaking of the company as a whole, Zelnick mentioned earlier in the call that with the promise of new consoles and continuous technological advances, Take-Two’s creative teams have “an increasingly robust canvas with which to achieve their vision and set new benchmarks for excellence.”
