To change the fire mode of your weapon, all you need to do is aim down your sights using L2 on PS4 or LT on Xbox One, and then press up on the d-pad.

Pressing it once will switch to your weapon’s other mode, which could be semi-automatic, burst or fully-automatic depending on the weapon you’re carrying.

You’ll know when you can change it by the icons that will appear on your HUD when aiming down sights in the bottom left-hand corner.

The option will always be assigned to up on the d-pad, so if no icon appears above it on your HUD when aiming down sights, your weapon doesn’t have an alternate fire mode for you to switch between.

If you want to change back to how your gun was firing originally, all you need to do is aim down the sights and press up on the d-pad again. Watch the little icon change here until it’s the same as what it was before you changed it.
