“How do you read Eridian Slabs?” is probably one of the many questions that has popped into your head while exploring everything this hot new looter shooter has to offer. How to Read Eridian Slabs in Borderlands 3

Eridian Writing is basically a collectible that’s scattered all across Borderlands 3’s many worlds. They’re just like the Dead Claptraps or Typhon Logs you’ve no doubt come across, but while these can be obtained as soon as you spot them, Eridian Slabs require you to come back to them once you’ve reached a certain point in the main story.

Specifically, you’ll need to wait until you get the Eridian Analyzer. You’ll unlock this as part of Borderlands 3’s main story quests, so don’t worry, there’s no way you can miss it. That being said, it will take a while for you to reach that point, taking about 30 hours for us to get there.

Once you’ve got this, it’s simply a case of going back to the Eridian Slabs and pressing X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, or E on PC once again. This time your Vault Hunter will use the analyzer and be able to read it.

What Reading Eridian Slabs Does

For each Eridian Slab you read, players will be given a bunch of Eridium. This is that purple currency that you’ve likely been told to get a bunch of at one point or another by the NPCs that inhabit Sanctuary.

Eridium can be spent by speaking to Crazy Earl, or interacting with the Veteran Goods vending machine just next to him on the bottom floor of Sanctuary.

It’s also worth noting that if you’re looking to get all of Borderlands 3’s trophies and achievements, you’ll need to read all of them to get ‘Tales From the Eridian Slab.’

Borderlands 3 Eridian Slabs

  1. You need the Eridian Analyzer to read them.

This is obtained in a late main story mission which cannot be missed.

  2. Go back to the Eridian Slabs you’ve found with the analyzer.

Press Square, X, E to read them.

  3. These give you Eridium.

This can be spent at Crazy Earl’s and the Veteran Goods vending machine.
