We’re all very excited for Bandai Namco’s upcoming action-RPG Code Vein, but this latest trailer isn’t too flash. Cosplay is “live-action” these days, apparently.

The trailer introduces us to the game’s IRL equivalent protagonists, who look like a bunch of students off to a Halloween party, but not before one almighty big plug of G-Fuel energy.

At last, we’re transported to the gorgeous anime aesthetic of Code Vein and what came before feels a bit like a bad dream. The game can’t come soon enough, but these “live-action” trailers can stop right about now, please.

Code Vein launches next month, Sept. 27 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’re hungry for more footage of the game, you can check out the recent trailer introducing the Bayonet weapon. Earlier in the month, we got to see an extended presentation of a boss fight.
