Today Square Enix released a video unveiling the “Chrono Orchestra: Toki o Wataru Tsubasa” concerts which will be held in Japan later this year featuring music from Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross.

The title translates into “Wings Across Time” and the concerts will be hosted in Osaka on September 7, and in Tokyo on October 27. Each date will include a day and an evening performance and the venues will be respectively the Osaka International Conference Center (Grand Cube Osaka) and the Pacifico Yokohama Convention Hall.

This means that yes, the concerts in “Tokyo” are actually in Yokohama, but this is normal in Japan, pretty much like “Tokyo” Game Show is actually hosted in Chiba.

The concerts in Osaka will be performed by the Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, while the event in Yokohama will see the performance of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

The conductor will be the same for both events, Shimpei Sasaki, and Composer Yasunori Mitsuda will also be in attendance. Tickets are priced between 7,800 yen and 13,800 yen, with a mid-range option for 9,100 yen. They can be purchased on the Square Enix eStore.

You can check out the video below and see Mitsuda-sensei do the honors and introduce some really lovely music.
