Square Enix has posted a mysterious teaser clip for a new game called “Outriders,” which we know next to nothing about. You can see the clip down below, but we should probably provide a bit of context.

At the beginning of May the Outriders Twitter popped up, and has since posted a series of cryptic Tweets detailing a mission log for an expedition to a planet named “Enoch.” These tweets seem to culminate in the final one today, which features a person waking up from cryosleep.
Interestingly, Square Enix actually trademarked the named Outriders in May 2018, but we haven’t heard anything about it until now.
The year before that, Square Enix announced that they had partnered with People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm, in order to create a brand new AAA shooter. We still haven’t heard any developments on that regard, and Outriders could certainly be related, although nothing can be definitively said right now.
The teaser released today flashes June 10, 2019 at the very end, which presumably means we’ll see a full reveal of Outriders during Square Enix’s Showcase presentation, which is scheduled for June 10 at 6 p.m PT/9 p.m. ET.
All in all, E3 2019 is shaping up to be one heck of a year for Square Enix. We already know Dying Light 2 will be a part of the showcase, and Square Enix has said they’ll be revealing their long awaited Avengers game as well. On top of all that, it’s highly likely that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will be making an appearance as well.
What do you think Square Enix’s Outriders will end up being? Leave a comment down below and let us know.
