Volume 12 of the DVD/Blu Ray series of the Persona 5 Anime will include a special episode titled “A Magical Valentine’s Day” and the official Twitter account is in full teasing mode.
As we learned a while ago, it will include 11 mini-episodes in which the hero will meet up with pretty much everyone on the menu, including Ryuji, and a “secret” one marked by question marks.
Each episode was teased with a dedicated illustration portraying the related heroine, plus a screenshot for the secret one. It shows a ticket for The Phantom of the Opera, but we still don’t know who will be featured.
We also learn the location of each date. Futaba’s will be at Meiji Jingu Gaien Ice Skating Rink. Haru will date the hero at the Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden in Shink Kiba. Ann Takamaki will get the ultra-classic date at Odaiba’s Ferris Wheel.
The date with Makoto will be at the Oosanbashi Pier in Yokohama. Sadayo Kawakami will decide to stay home, in the attic of the Cafe Leblanc where the hero lives. Tae will have a similar preference, opting to have the meeting at her clinic. Ohya will meet the protagonist at the Oi Racecourse (a popular track for horse racing in Shinagawa).
Hifumi will have her date at a night pool (which is a very popular activity in Tokyo, it appears. I may or may not have personal experience on that). Chihaya will meet the hero at the main hall of the Meiji Jingu Shrine.
Ryuji will join the hero at the Cafe Leblanc, while (as mentioned above) the ??? will happen at the Opera House.
This is certainly interesting considering that the upcoming Persona 5 Royal game for PS4 might possibly overhaul the Valentine’s Day events completely. This might be a glimpse of what we’ll get to play.
The episode will release with volume 12 of the home video edition on June 26.
