We get to see the very beginning of the game, and at long last, we see the reveal of the look of Tifa, alongside Sephiroth.

We hear from Producer Yoshinori Kitase mentioning that the game will have two Blu Ray discs worth of content. The first expands on the story of Midgar and includes the content that you’d find into a full game.

After Kitase-san’s announcement, we get to see a look at gameplay, including the newly-revealed Tactical Mode that can be used when the ATB bar is full. When that is active, time slows down to a crawl so that you can select commands in classic fashion.

You can switch between characters with the press of a button, or you can assign command to them when they have full ATB bars.

If you prefer action gameplay, you can assign shortcuts to various commands and use them on the fly.

The presentation ended with a spectacular boss fight against the Scorpion Sentinel.

If you want to see more of the Final Fantasy VII remake, you can check out yesterday’s trailer, another from a few weeks ago, and a beautiful piece of concept artwork showcased with yesterday’s reveal, showing off Sephiroth.

The first episode of the remake will launch on PS4 on March 3, 2020. Pre-orders should be going online today. No other platforms have been announced so far.
