The Legendary Hunt event adds a new playlist called Apex Elite, which is the same game with a faster ring closing and increased damage for being out of bounds. The queue is optional and can be unlocked by being one of the last five teams in any match.

The new queue and the regular playlist now offer four exclusive weapon and legend skins via in-game challenges during the event, such as earning Top 5 a certain number of times or winning two non-consecutive matches.

The Apex Elite queue is available now until July 2, while the challenges and rewards are only available until June 18.

Apex Legends Battle Pass owners will also receive the Legendary Honored Prey R-301 skin for owning the pass, and the Wraith Night Terror Legendary skin for reaching level 15 before the event ends.

Players will be able to earn an entire Battle Pass level once per day until June 18 by reaching Top 5 in any match, similar to the last bonus XP event, and developer Respawn is holding a double XP weekend starting this Friday, June 7 at 1 p.m. ET until Monday, June 10 at the same time.

The Legendary Hunt event comes alongside the 1.2 update containing bug fixes, quality of life features like fully customizable button layout for console controllers, and updates to loot placement on the map itself such as twice the amount of loot in “The Pit.”
