What Fortbytes Are in Fortnite?
Introduced in Season 9, Fortnite Fortbytes are a brand new collectible. Each day, a new one is unlocked.
Some require players to have gained a certain amount of XP. Others might task players with solving a riddle. Each of these collectibles usually comes with some kind of task.
Upon collecting 90 of the 100, players will unlock the Utopia Battle Star skin. Because of how dope this skin is, you’re going to want to jump in daily to find a Fortbyte to ensure you reach 90 in time.
Where to Find Fortbyte 74 in a Filing Cabinet Inside an Assassin’s Basement — J8
Fortnite Fortbyte 74’s location is trickier than past ones because an assassin’s basement isn’t a marked location on the map. It is, however, right next to a marked location — Paradise Palms to be exact.
To find Fortbyte 74, glide over to Paradise Palms and head just right of it. Land in quadrant J8 on top of the house nearby. Head inside to the first floor (or second floor if you count the basement as a floor).
Then, go down the stairs into the basement. As you walk in, just a tad to the left, you should see a grayish-white filing cabinet with four drawers. Break this cabinet to find the collectible within.
To pick it up, press X on Xbox One, Square on PS4, Y on Switch and E one PC. This will allow you to interact with it and pick it up.
