What Fortbytes Are in Fortnite?
Fortbytes are essentially a new collectible introduced in Fortnite Season 9. Each day, a new one is unlocked, with some requiring players to reach a certain amount of XP, complete other challenge-like tasks, or solve riddles to find their locations on the map.
With each one that is collected, a section of a hidden image is revealed which details the story of Season 9.
Upon collecting 90 of the 100 Fortbytes, players will also unlock the special Battle Star skin for this season, called Utopia. As such, for players wanting to get everything they possibly can out of Fortnite Season 9, Fortbytes are pretty darn important.

How to Use the Cuddle Up Emoticon
The first thing you’ll need to do for this is to actually unlock yourself the Cuddle Up emoticon. This is unlocked at Tier 8 on the Free Battle Pass, so chances are by now you’ve already unlocked this emote and are ready to go.
Upon doing this, you can then assign it to one of your six emote slots in the locker, or just scroll through your emote wheel in-game.
Where to Find the Rocky Umbrella – E3
The rocky umbrella can actually be found just southeast of The Block’s current location up at the very top of the map.
We’ve placed a marker exactly where you can find the rocky umbrella on Fortnite’s map down below, specifically where you’ll find Fortbyte 7 inside it, too. The umbrella’s grid reference is E3, and can also be found just north of the crashed battle bus.
Upon reaching the rocky umbrella, you’ll then be able to spot Fortbyte 7 at the very end of the umbrella’s ‘handle’ so to speak. It’s on a raised platform, but you won’t be able to interact with it until you’ve used the cuddle up emote. Simply open up your emote wheel by pressing up on the d-pad on Xbox One, PS4, and Switch, or hit B on PC.
Once you’ve done this, you can then interact with and collect Fortbyte 7, granting you yet another one of these collectibles.
