Today Sega announced the release on PC of Yakuza Kiwami 2, which is finally coming to Steam.
The port was partially leaked by an ESRB rating a few days ago, and it’s indeed real. The game will come on May 9 and will cost $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 depending on where you live.
The steam listing is already available, alongside a trailer and screenshots, that you can enjoy below.
The game offers full PC optimization including “4K resolution and unlocked framerates, customizable controls and robust graphics options.”
Those who will pre-order will receive the “Clan Creator Bundle DLC” for free, including super rare Clan Creator Leaders and Packs, exclusive weapons, and outfits.
Yakuza Kiwami, which is the remake of the first game of the series, was released on PC in February, so getting Yakuza Kiwami 2 isn’t really a surprise.
That being said, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is the first PC port using the new Dragon Engine that debuted for Yakuza 6, so it’ll be interesting to see how it performs on Windows.
Being the remake of the more mature Yakuza 2, it’s also considered by many the best game of the series overall, and I personally agree. If you want to learn more, you can enjoy our review.
If you’re not willing to wait for the PC port, Yakuza Kiwami 2 is already available for PS4 and is most certainly worth your time.
