Today Kadokawa Games announced a change in its DLC plans for its PS4 love simulation “Lover.”

A while ago the publisher launched a popular vote about a crossover operation with the Nora, Princess, and Stray Cat series. The fans were asked which costume from the franchise they wanted as DLC, and pretty inevitably they selected Iris December Uncry’s outfit.

Today Kadokawa reached out via Twitter to announce that due to the usual “various circumstances” the costume had to be swapped with the outfit of runner-up Euracia of End. You can see both in the gallery at the bottom of the post. The costume will be delivered in mid-May.

Kadokawa Games also apologized to those who voted and expressed hope that players can enjoy Euracia’s costume alongside the other outfit that will be released, which is Patricia of End’s school uniform.

You can see both costumes in the gallery below. No specific reason was provided for the sudden change, but fan speculation is obviously going in a very specific direction considering the nature of the costumes involved. We contacted Kadokawa Games and we’ll let you know if a more detailed explanation is provided, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

LoveR is currently available in Japan exclusively for PS4. If you want to see more about the game, you can check out the latest trailer and the previous video.
