Today, during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, the house of Mario and Zelda had a surprise announcement for Marvelous Entertainment’s Daemon X Machina.
The game is getting a demo today titled Daemon X Machina: Prototype Missions.
The demo includes four playable missions and allows players to customize their mech named Arsenal.
The missions also include a boss battle, to get a sense of the massive scale of the game.
Interestingly, some players who try out the demo will receive an invite to take part in a survey in order to provide feedback to the developers.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a release date for Daemon X Machina just yet, but we know that it will release this summer exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s a mecha combat title with plenty of Armored Core pedigree (Kenichiro Tsukuda worked as a Producer on the series), character design by No More Heroes artist Yusuke Kozaki, and mecha design by Macross creator Shoji Kawamori.
Marvelous teased more info on the game at the end of last year and looks like they have certainly delivered. If you want to see more, you can check out a trailer that was showcased at Gamescom.
