Today NIS America released Nippon Ichi Software’s puzzle platformer The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince in the west and is celebrating with a new trailer.

The video is, as usual for this game, absolutely adorable, and serves as a preface for what appears to be a charming and moving story.

The plot is about a monster who accidentally blinds a prince with her sharp claws and then has to guide him around and protect him while pretending to be a princess thanks to a witch’s spell.

The player will have to alternate between princess and monster forms to destroy obstacles and fight off enemies, and to actually lead the prince around and give him instructions.

It’s an interesting and fresh take on the puzzle-platformer genre with some escort gameplay mixed in, which perfectly complements its art style and story.

You can check out the trailer below and see if the adorable art style of the game manages to charm you.

If you want to see more, you can enjoy an earlier trailer, the previous video, another from a few weeks beforean earlier video, and the original announcement.

The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is currently available for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
