What the Install Size for Anthem Is
Anthem is right around the corner for some and out now for others. Here’s what the install size for Anthem is.
Anthem is BioWare’s take on the games-as-a-service model that so many developers in this industry have molded into a service that can last for years and years (looking at you Ubisoft and Bungie). If everything goes well, BioWare could see Anthem join the ranks of games like Destiny and The Division.
It’s too early to tell, but if you’re curious, you can hop into the game right now. Sadly, you can only do that if you are an Xbox One or PC owner.
Sorry PlayStation users.
This is because the game is available in full or as a 10-hour demo via EA’s early access programs.
If you want to play the game in full right now, you need to become a subscribed member of EA’s Origin Premiere Access program which will cost you $15 a month or in one full payment, $100 for a year’s worth of access.
Subscribing at this tier gets you not only full access to Anthem, but a slew of other games and discounts. If you want to pay less, you can pay for the EA Origin Basic Access, which is just $5 a month, or $30 all at once for a year’s worth of access.
At this tier, you’ll unlock a 10-hour trial of Anthem that you can play starting today.
This subscription service is available on both PC and Xbox One. For all other versions of Anthem, like physical or digital copies on PS4, you’ll be waiting until next Friday, Feb. 22.
Now, if you want to play the game right now, you’re going to need to clear some space on your hard drive.
The install size of Anthem on PC is 51 GB while on Xbox One, EA forum users are reporting that the game is 36.42 GB.
We currently do not know the install size of the PS4 version of the game as preloading has not yet been unlocked for that system. If it’s anything like other multiplatform games, you can expect Anthem’s size on PS4 to clock in near that of the Xbox One version, although at the time, nothing is confirmed.
