How to Go Back to the Police Station in Resident Evil 2

The Resident Evil 2 remake is a re-imagining of the PS1 classic game, allowing players to revisit the iconic Raccoon Police Station and all its cryptic puzzles. Once you’ve left the station, you might be wondering if there’s any way to go back. So here’s how you can get back to the police station in Resident Evil 2.

At the very start of the game, you’ll be tasked with finding the three medallions that will allow you to escape. After inserting the medallions and progressing to the next room, you’ll find that the door behind you has shut. Thankfully, it won’t be long before you get to journey back to the station again.

Getting Back to the Station Playing as Leon in Resident Evil 2

If you’re playing as Leon in Resident Evil 2, you’ll get to explore the Parking Garage immediately after leaving the police station. After some cutscenes and story progression, you’ll be tasked with finding some Electronic Parts. One of the parts is located in the station itself.

First, you’ll want to head to the Generator Room to turn on the power. After that, head to the door next to the Firing Range, and follow the steps up to go back to the police station. This will lead you to the Break Room, and the east corridor which brings you to the first floor of the East Wing.

Getting Back to the Station Playing as Claire

If you’re playing as Claire, your route back to the police station is a little different from Leon’s. You won’t have access to the Generator Room in the Parking Garage, so head to the Morgue and grab the Diamond Key.

Now, head back to the main area of the Garage and go through the door right next to the shutters. Use the Diamond Key on the locked door here, and you’ll be able to activate an elevator that leads you to the Chief’s Office in the police station.

The Chief’s Office is located on the second floor of the East Wing, in an area you were previously unable to access.

Getting to the Police Station From the Sewers in Resident Evil 2

As you progress further in Resident Evil 2, both Leon and Claire will eventually reach the Sewers. It might seem unlikely, but there actually is a way to loop back to the police station from here as well.

After obtaining the Treatment Facility Key, head to the area where the Rook Plug is, and open the locked door directly to the right side of the bridge that’s being activated by the Rook Plug. You’ll be able to push a cabinet to the side in this room, giving you access to an elevator leading up.

Take the elevator, then take the stairs all the way up to the room that you first entered after using the three medallions at the very start of the game. At this point, you should already have the T-bar handle from the Sewers, and you can use it to open the gateway leading to the Main Hall of the police station in Resident Evil 2.

And that’s all you need to know about how to go back to the police station in Resident Evil 2. Be sure to check our Resident Evil 2 guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.

TLDR;
