The Vibrant Indie Platformer ‘GRIS’ Has Already Become Profitable for Nomada Studio

Nomada Studio, the team behind the indie game, GRIS, has announced that their title has already become profitable after only being out for one week.

GRIS is Nomada’s first game that they’ve developed and it’s available on the Switch eShop and Steam for $16.99. Considering that it’s only been on sale for a few days, this is an exceptional feat for a studio as new as this one.

The team posted a Tweet earlier today to announce the fantastic news and to thank everyone for the strong support:

Here’s a synopsis of the game via Nomada Studios themselves:

“Gris is a hopeful young girl lost in her own world, dealing with a painful experience in her life. Her journey through sorrow is manifested in her dress, which grants new abilities to better navigate her faded reality.

As the story unfolds, Gris will grow emotionally and see her world in a different way, revealing new paths to explore using her new abilities. GRIS is a serene and evocative experience, free of danger, frustration or death. Players will explore a meticulously designed world brought to life with delicate art, detailed animation, and an elegant original score.

Through the game light puzzles, platforming sequences, and optional skill-based challenges will reveal themselves as more of Gris’s world becomes accessible.”
