For now, the announcement has come only for Japan and for PS4 and PC via the local arm of the publisher, but there is little doubt that one for the west will be announced soon (it has already been confirmed via Twitter).

It will release in Japan on Feb. 20, 2019 for PS4 in digital download form, Feb. 21 in physical release, and Feb. 26 on Steam. Update: the western release was confirmed for  Feb. 26 on both PS4 and PC. Interestingly, we also get one more mask and pod skin.

NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition, will include the original game, the DLC 3C3C1 D119440927, and various bonus items which you can see below. Basically, it’s the emil mask and various pod skins that came as pre-order bonuses with the original launch. A PS4 theme and a set of avatars will also come in the package.

We also get to see the cover art, which shows 2B without her iconic visors as she carries 9S in a lovely illustration by Akihiko Yoshida.

NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition will cost 4,800 yen (which translates to $42.44) plus taxes. Interestingly, the Become as Gods edition for Xbox One will be dropped to the same price on Feb. 21.

If you’re unfamiliar with NieR: Automata, it’s a wonderful action JRPG directed by Yoko Taro and developed by PlatinumGames. It released in 2017 for PS4 and PC, with an Xbox One version launched earlier this year. If you’d like to read more you can check out our review.

The game shipped over 3.5 million copies and looks like Square Enix intends to sell many more.
