Today Atelier series developer Gust hosted a livestream on Nico Nico featuring the upcoming all-star town-building-game-meets-JRPG Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World.
The game was played on PS4 for over 25 minutes, and it started with some of the town-building gameplay that makes this spin-off unique, including a look at how we can give tasks to various heroes and heroines of the Atelier series assigning them to various establishments and shops depending on their skills and stats.
We even get to see handy graphs for performance which might remind you of classic city-building games.
The stream also showcased event scenes between Nelke, Marie, and more. A look at the map then shows how we can send our characters to gather resources. Of course, during those trips battle can ensue.
You can check out a recording of the gameplay below (unfortunately, the video quality isn’t the best due to the fact that it was streamed on Nico Nico). If you want to see more of Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World, you can also enjoy the latest trailer, the recent screenshots showcasing Judie, Shallie, Iris, and Norn, and more gameplay released a few weeks ago showing research.
The game will hit the North American shelves for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March. 26, while European players will be able to play a few days later (as usual) on March. 29, 2018. It will release in Japan in just two days, on Dec. 13, only for PS4 and Switch.
