How to Find Hidden Items in Pokemon Let’s Go

Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee brings everything you know and love about the monster catching series to Nintendo Switch. Although it may be more streamlined than usual, there’s still plenty of Pokemon catching and item collecting to do. In fact, there are a number of hidden items you can find, if you know how to that is. Here’s how to find hidden items in Pokemon Let’s Go.

Outside of the items in Pokeballs you can pick up around Kanto, there are a number of hidden items that can give you extra goodies. There are essentially two different ways of finding these, both of which deal with keeping an eye on your partner Pokemon.

First off as you’re out exploring keep an eye on the tail of either Pikachu or Eevee. Your partners tail will start to wag if you’re nearby a hidden item, and it’ll wag much faster if you’re very close to the item. Use this visual cue to search around for hidden items, and once your partner’s tail starts to wag fast hit the A button on your controller to search around for the item.

Outside of Pikachu and Eevee, the partner Pokemon you bring out of their Pokeball can also find items. If you see the Pokemon following you stop following and run over to a spot, head over to where they are and press A to talk to them. Oftentimes, they’ll find a nifty little item for you.

This also lets you interact with them in fun ways, if an exclamation point pops up above their head. Like Wartortle being happy that a nearby fountain splashed them. Just keep an eye on Pikachu/Eevee, as well as your partner, and you should be able to rack up a few extra items.

That’s everything you need to know about how to find hidden items in Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee. For even more tips, tricks, and guides make sure to take a look at our Pokemon Let’s Go wiki. Here are a few other guides to check out at the same time.
