Fortnite Season 6

Nearly Half of Nintendo Switch Users Have Downloaded Fortnite

We are all well aware that Fortnite is the biggest thing right now, taking over the internet, the world, and your little brother’s social life. Being a free game and all, it’s very easy to see why this multiplayer shooter is the talk of the town, making over a billion dollars thanks to additional paid in-game content. Nintendo has even announced that nearly half of Nintendo Switch users have downloaded the game to their console, which equates to about 11.5 million Switch units (via IGN).

Since Nintendo has launched their paid online subscription service, Switch players are now required to pay in order to play games like Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, but fortunately, playing Fortnite online doesn’t require users to be subscribed to the service, which has probably helped more players jump in more easily.

In other Nintendo news, the Japanese gaming giant has hinted that they plan on releasing more DLC for their existing “big” titles on the Switch like Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey for example. After hearing this news, we decided to choose five Switch games that would definitely benefit from some additional content. Nintendo, can we please get some more game boards in Super Mario Party!?
