Spider-Man Continues to Dominate Japanese Sales Charts

Spider-Man has been a tremendous critical and commercial success for developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony, and not just in the west. The game has been tearing up the charts over in Japan, trebling the launch sales for God of War, and the numbers continue to impress.

Japanese data analysis company Media Create has released its weekly sales data for hardware and software for the week 9/17/18 – 9/23/18, and Spider-Man is once again top of the pops. Elsewhere, Steins; Gate Elite climbs into the top 5 across PS4 and Nintendo Switch in its debut week. And over on the hardware side, the Nintendo Switch once again leads the way by a significant margin with nearly 40,000 units moved over the week.
