Persona 5 Has Almost Shipped 2 Million Copies Worldwide Since Launch

We saw it coming.

The uber-popular game that is Persona 5 seems to be doing pretty well since it launched in Japan late last year and in March in the states. During the latest edition of the Sega Raw live stream, Toshihiro Nagoshi (Sega Director), announced that the RPG had shipped over 1.8 million copies worldwide.

A few months ago in April, it was announced that Persona 5 had shipped over 1.5 million copies which is a big feat for an RPG like Persona. The old-school turn-based battle system that the Persona series is known for is only one small cog in the chain that makes Persona 5 such an excellent title. The ability to choose how you spend your days, what friends to hang out with, and whether or not to choose to work is where Persona truly shines when you’re not fighting monsters in pyramids and spaceships.

Persona 5 came out for the PS3 and PS4 back in September, 2017 in Japan, while North America and Europe received the title a few months later in April, 2017. Make sure to check out our huge wiki guide for the game, as well as our review.
