Heroes of the Storm’s First Summer Event Begins Today

Blizzard’s multiplayer online battle arena game Heroes of the Storm receives its first summer event called “Sun’s Out, Guns Out,” the company announced today. The event begins today, June 27, and ends July 24.

The Sun’s Out, Guns Out event adds new, limited-time surfboard mounts and summer-themed skins for heroes Stitches, Tracer, and Tychus. All loot chests earned through progression and the weekly Heroes Brawl mode will be replaced with Sun’s Out, Guns Out loot chests containing the new items, or can be purchased in a bundle using gems. Check out some of the new skins in the short trailer below, while the official Heroes of the Storm website has the full list of cosmetic items.

Blizzard also announced a sweepstakes for the event, with prizes such as five loot chests, a “top-of-the-line” PC worth over $2,400, or tickets to BlizzCon 2017. All players have to do to enter is win one Heroes of the Storm match per day for one entry, with a max of seven entries every week.
