The Sims 4 is ringing in the new year with the blood-sucking undead, as EA announced today the new Vampires Game Pack releasing later this month.
The Vampires Game Pack includes new ways to customize your Sims into monsters from the inside out, adding features like glowing eyes, deader skin tones, evil brows, and Vampire motives and needs. Now that they’re immortal, Vampire Sims need to keep up their Plasma intake by either buying and drinking Plasma Packs, growing their own Plasma Fruit, or draining Plasma from other Sims, probably without their permission. There’s also going to be Powers — special abilities that let your Vampires turn other Sims, take on different forms, and do other, yet unannounced things.
Along with these additions comes Forgotten Hollow, a fittingly creepy World made up of five lots. Your newly soulless Sims are sure to enjoy the area’s decaying trees, foggy weather, and inexplicably longer nights. That last one is fairly important, since each Vampire will have both a regular and dark form, and the latter will spontaneously combust in sunlight.
Inside, you can add Vampire objects like coffin beds and pipe organs to your home, or try out a new lot trait that brings more undead friends to your door. Sims can also raise up little children that may or may not start showing Vampire traits as Teenagers. If they do, they’ll stop aging entirely, unless you’ve got some Birthday Cake to spare.
The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack is set to release Jan. 24. More details on its price and contents are due in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
