Pokemon Sun and Moon have been released and have become a huge success, especially in the UK where the two titles have become the fastest-selling Nintendo games of all time.
As EuroGamer reports, though the two games have debut in third and fourth in the UK game charts, they have sold twice as well as the last Pokemon game released. The two games have already sold more than Nintendo’s previous record holder, Wii Fit, did in two weeks.
If you combined the sales figures of the two games then they more than beat FIFA 17, which is currently at the top of the charts. The high sales are no doubt helped by the release of the hugely popular mobile game Pokemon GO which was released earlier this year in the Summer.
The two Pokemon games have also sold over two million copies in Japan within the first three days of release. It looks like gamers just can’t get enough of Pokemon this year.
Pokemon Sun and Moon are available now for the Nintendo 3DS.
