Yes, winter is coming.

CD Projekt Red isn’t very subtle when it comes to putting in references and Easter eggs into their game, but here’s a pretty neat one you can find in The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. Do be warned that this contains minor spoilers for the first couple of seasons of Game of Thrones. It’s nothing major, but don’t look if you haven’t started the series and you want to go in completely fresh. You have been warned.

If you pay enough attention, Geralt will come across an NPC who is basically Arya Stark from the Game of Thrones TV show. Her random dialogue talks about how she has a sword called ‘Needle’ and that she can wield it left-handed. She also rambles on about how she dreamt she was a wolf, which is a clear reference to Bran being able to warg into animals and his own direwolf in the show. And of course she has to ask if winter is coming. You can check out the YouTube video of the cool little Easter egg down below.
