Expand the player base.

Here’s a bit of good news for Overwatch players on consoles. It looks like Blizzard might be entertaining the possibility of adding cross-platform play for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. When asked about its inclusion as a feature on Twitter, they stated that they would “keep an eye on cross-platform possibilities on the consoles.”

They also had some thoughts about supporting cross-platform play for PC and console users of Overwatch.

Their reasoning is understandable, as it’s generally known that PC players would have better reaction times when playing shooter games with a keyboard and mouse, as opposed to console players who use a gamepad.

Still, it’s good to see that cross-platform play might become available for PS4 and Xbox One users. This would help to unify both player bases, and possibly even extend the game’s life on consoles.

Overwatch is now available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. What are your thoughts on the game so far? Let us know in the comments down below.
