Sony Europe Trademarks “The Sentinel,” New Game or Just Another Matrix Reference?

Your guess is as good as ours.

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe seems to have something called “The Sentinel” up their sleeves. A new trademark filing for the name was spotted earlier today on the EUIPO, a trademark that may be for an upcoming game. Or Sony could just be rounding out their Neo and Morpheus codenames with another Matrix reference. Who knows.

The filing classifications 9 and 41 indicate computer game software and online features, respectively. Perhaps we’ll hear more about The Sentinel at this year’s E3.
