PlayStation Store Adds Totally Digital Section, Will Include Special Deals

Sony to launch Totally Digital area of Playstation Store.

Today Sony announced the launch of Totally Digital, a digital-only area of the Playstation Store, coming this week. The aim of Totally Digital is to provide an arena for Playstation’s digital-only games to shine. This area is split into two sections, each offering Playstation Store users a little something special.

The Best Sellers section will contain the best digital releases from this year. These will be mixed-in with a selection from 2015 to bulk up the launch offering. Sony hopes that by doing this they will be able to cater for everybody’s gaming tastes.

There will also be a Digital Discounts section offering savings of up to 50% on digital titles that will be cycled regularly. A quick glance at the current crop of discounts even has some at over 70% off. There looks to be some fantastic deals available on both recent and older releases here. These deals apply to software available on PS4, PS3,  and the PS Vita.

Finally, players will now be able to pre-order digital titles directly from the Playstation Store. This feature is being celebrated by spotlighting six upcoming titles that will launch through the Totally Digital area. Each of these titles will be given a pre-release discount of 10% from tomorrow. For a full list of these titles and their release dates see below:

  • Mar 15: Salt & Sanctuary
  • Mar 22: Day of the Tentacle Remastered
  • Apr 5: Enter the Gungeon
  • Apr 12: Stories: The Path of Destinies
