Thank you, seasonal lull.

Earlier today, the research site Superdata revealed that the recent PC port of Rise of the Tomb Raider managed to nearly triple the sales made by the Xbox One version during its release month back in late November.

According to the site, the reason behind this massive sales difference was because Rise of the Tomb Raider was released alongside Fallout 4 and was an Xbox One exclusive at the time. They also noted that the game benefited from “a seasonal lull of triple A games” and “strong industry recognition.”

Superdata also revealed that the highest grossing mobile game in Jan 2016 was Clash of Clans, the highest grossing console game was Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and the highest grossing Pay to Play game was, unsurprisingly, World of Warcraft.
