Here’s the First Footage of Team Kirby Clash and Kirby 3D Rumble

Get you a Kirby who can do both.
This article is over 8 years old and may contain outdated information

Games in the Kirby series seldom release with just one mode, if ever. Kirby’s creator Masahiro Sakurai is a fan of many modes, as evident in nearly every Kirby game to date as well as the Super Smash Bros. series. Naturally, the latest Kirby game, titled Kirby: Planet Robobot is set to receive its staple bonus modes to complete the traditionally hefty package expected of the series. Aside from the Story Mode, Planet Robobot is getting packaged with two bonus games titled Team Kirby Clash and Kirby 3D Rumble.

Team Kirby Clash lets players band together to cooperatively demolish large bosses in a mission-based format. Each player can select a certain class and will be able to level up to strengthen their abilities. I’m sure you’re wondering how cute this will be. Well, this cute:

Kirby 3D Rumble is another interesting take on the series by placing players on a 3D plane as opposed to the standard side-scrolling action. This mode carries out as a sort of action-puzzle game, as Kirby must inhale enemies and spit them out as projectiles. The twist, however, is that they may need to be spit out in a certain direction with proper timing in order to eliminate every enemy simultaneously. In typical Kirby fashion, this is also adorable as hell. See for yourself:

Honestly, it’s so cute it’s unbearable. We mean that in the best way possible. Suffice to say, we can’t wait to get our hands on Kirby: Planet Robobot and try out these two bonus modes and everything they have to offer. If the series continues on the path of quality as its predecessor, Kirby: Triple Deluxe, this new entry is sure to be just as spectacular.

You can get a hold of Kirby: Planet Robobot when it releases in Japan on April 28th and worldwide on June 10th for the Nintendo 3DS.
