Reddit user Bearskopff took his passion for Star Wars and recreated the Battle of Hoth into Halo 5: Guardians’ Forge mode.

The map features a gigantic AT-AT looming around the ice world searching for potential Rebel prey to obliterate. According to Bearskopff, the entire AT-AT walker took up almost half of the building budget that’s featured in Forge mode.

When building, Forge players must keep in mind their creation’s budget — otherwise players won’t be able to finish your creation. Players can only have so many objects on a Forge map because overloading the map would negatively affect gameplay performance. Because of the hulking AT-AT’s design, it’s impressive that half of the budget went into crafting it.

Hoth Halo 5

If you’re unfamiliar with Forge mode in the Halo series, it’s a map editor that allows players to customize maps with different weapons, vehicles and other flavors not regularly found in the original maps. In Halo 5: Guardians’ Forge mode, there’s an improved control scheme, along with grouping of objects and multiple lighting effects to customize your map with — essentially giving Halo 5’s Forge players more tools to perfect their creations.

It will be interesting to see how an actual match of Team Slayer would play out on this Star Wars creation. It’s not Star Wars Battlefront, but the map does look spectacular.

What do you guys think? Are you impressed with Halo 5’s Forge mode? Would you be interested in playing a match of Slayer on here? Let us know in the comments below!
