Pokken Tournament Wii U Release Date Revealed

If you’ve been wanting to play a fighting game with Pokemon in it, Pokken Tournament is definitely for you. If you’re someone not big on fighting games, it’s perfect for you, since it’ll focus more on action than it will the technical aspect. Thankfully, it’ll also give each player a full screen. Today, Nintendo has revealed that the Tekken-style fighter will be coming to the Wii U worldwide on March 18th.

Currently, Pokken has 16 playable Pokemon and will add more characters over time, along with 20 non-playable Pokemon that can be used to assist the player. The launch characters will be:

  • Braixen
  • Chandelure
  • Charizard
  • Garchomp
  • Gardevoir
  • Gengar
  • Lucario
  • Machamp
  • Mewtwo
  • Pikachu
  • Pikachu Libre
  • Sceptile
  • Shadow Mewtwo

  • Weavile
