Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan and both of the Amazing Spider-Man titles published by Activision have disappeared from online digital stores.
The news comes via Gamespot, stating that reports had begun to surface that the Activision titles had been removed from Steam, Nintendo’s eShop, and both the PlayStation and Xbox Stores. If you’ve already got a digital copy of the games, don’t worry. These will still remain live and playable. If you were hoping to snag a cheap digital copy soon, however, you may be out of luck. Activision’s 2013 title, Fast & Furious Showdown has also disappeared as well.
While titles being removed from digital stores is nothing new, Mutants in Manhattan’s removal is particularly interesting. Having released back in May 2016, admittedly to poor reviews, the game hasn’t even been available on these digital stores for a year before seemingly having been removed.
At this moment in time, Activision has yet to comment on the mysterious disappearance of the titles in question. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as and when the story develops.
