Alan Wake may be returning, according to the the European Union trademark database, which shows that Remedy has filed a trademark for a game called “Alan Wake Returns”.
The trademark was first registered on Feb. 23, but has only just been noticed today by a user on NeoGAF. The registration covers computer game software, action toys, and the “production of television features”.
A new Alan Wake game has not been officially announced and it should be kept in mind that this could be a prank registration from a third party. However, it’s perfectly possible that Remedy is working on a new game, considering how popular the original game was.
It was also recently announced that a digital copy of Alan Wake will be bundled with all pre-orders of Quantum Break, a possible attempt to help support a sequel?
